I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Professional environment
Great Benefits
Good leadership
Yearly bonuses and raises
Career advancement
Awesome Pay

Cons

some of the things management expects of employees is ridiculous
they want you to say more and more to the customers but take more calls have lower stats they want perfection

Advice to Management

Management should put themselves on the phones for a bit. Maybe then they can set some more realistic goals for metrics. Sometimes you cannot keep customers on the phone and fix their problem. I don't know how many times I would have the help the customer but they had to go. Their bill was a mess or something and I would have to ruin my stats and get into trouble all just because I was going above and beyond for a customer. Decide one or the other you either want to provide great customer service or you want to take calls and fast as possible. Also quite coming up with more and more fees to charge customers it just makes them unhappy to say the least.

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

At first it was a nice place to work. Nice perks, such as insurance kicked in first day. Nice cafeteria. Phones and wireless equipment at a discount price.

    Cons

Very much good ol' boy network, you didn't know who you could trust from one day to the next. Had one supervisor who would yell across the room if someone was taking "too long" on a call.

    Advice to Management

Hire people who actually know HOW to work with people. Take worker's suggestions to heart, and talk WITH workers, not just AT them.

    Pros

    Cellphone bill discount, great benefits.

    Cons

No time to take advantage of your beenfits. I only worked in retail though, I cannot speak on behalf of all departments. Poor schedule.

    Advice to Management

Treat our employees with respect. Promote innovators not bureaucrats.
