I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Good salary, great benefits, good work evironment. I love coming to work every day.

Cons

Internal interview is very difficult. It is not based on how well you do your job or if you are capable of doing the job you are applying for. It is more so, how well you can impress the interviewer with the STAR format. A lot of people find themselves "stuck" in their current position.

    I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Benefits are kinda of expensive but except the dental plan are pretty good!

    Cons

    Where do I begin? This company is predatory; if you can manipulate customers into buying everything here you will succeed! Verizon wants to take all the money out of their customer' pockets! They want you to sell things to customers they don't need! I have never seen a wireless company that has so many problems with their phones! They pay you almost nothing, so that you will be forced to sell to get paid. Their commission’s plan is extremely hard to achieve. One manager even told us "Customers have money in their pockets, reach in and take it!" Highly highly unethical company that wants to work their employees to the bone! Do not work here if you value your free time and ethical business practices! Management is young and shady! Oh, and don’t forget the long hours, overtime is mandatory and you will have to come to a weekly 8 AM sales meeting even if you are working till 830PM that night! You will have to rip off customers! This company also thinks a 50% customer satisfaction level is good!

    Advice to Management

    Stop ripping off your customers and promoting young shady people. Stop working your employees to the bone!
