I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Large company that has lots of room for advancement. Lots of fast changes in the industry which I like because it fits my personality.

Cons

Even though room for advancement- you have to know and be "in" with the right people or else they only promote the a**kissers.

Advice to Management

Notice the employees that have true interest in what they are doing and passionate about the industry. That goes a LONG way in the long run than just the people who are on your tails.

I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working at Verizon Wireless gives you endless access to the newest devices, from cellphones and tablets to cameras. They're one of the few companies that continues to hire during this recession AND give yearly bonuses that are at least 10% of your salary.

    Cons

Cons!! The hours suck! Pretty much everyone starts as a customer care representative. Career advancement opportunities are available but you have to apply and interview for EVERYTHING. You can not advance on merit alone. They bid for schedules twice a year. The salary is not sufficient for the work required.
