I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Good commission incentive packages for sales professionals. Great benefits including 401K, insurance, tuition reimburse, etc. Good training programs, tools and mentorships. Management is compensated on success of sales employees, therefore, most managers are hands on, willing to assist, coach and take necessary actions for their employees success. Very positive culture and defined corporate goals.

Cons

Very high demands for quota/objectives attainment. Below quotas for 3 months will soon exit you from company. Performance improvement plans are intense and require significantly high work commitments, activity and reporting. Make or break you mentality.

Advice to Management

Sales teams are humans, not machines. Just because a person has several great months of sales performance, doesn't necessarily set a new bar on achievement/quota requirements.
