I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great Benifits, 6% matching 401k good base salary and insurance.

    Cons

They measure everything you say and do. The company is only conserned about making more money. They are not conserned about any work/life balance and the stress is a killer. They say they have a great culture but they dont...just ridicue and pain. Best Advise...if your working there use the education benfits and get out. If your looking to work there.....Don't !!!

    Advice to Management

They need to clean house and bring in new managment that has some people skills. Just because you have worked there for 10+ years does not mean your management material.

I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

benefits, match up to 6%, selling a product people want, decent vacation time, work phone, reduced verizon bill, potential to make decent money is there

    Cons

expectations and treatment of salesforce, the stress for the amount of pay is not worth it, they change metrics almost monthly so its hard to predict how much money youll make or how well youll be doing on "the big board," they have started doing daily calls (while you're not even working) if you don't sell a very niche product that day or some other unrealistic daily goals no matter how you're doing for the whole month and then potentially take you off the floor for hours because of it so you don't get ot. All this for a very average paying retail sales job.

    Advice to Management

realistic metrics, more positive environment, treat your salespeople like they pay your salary.
