Cons

Depending on important metrics, strict rules are enforced that can make selling stressful to employees. The standard is at a high point, that if you do not maintain minimum results, you will be effected

Advice to Management

Hard to get into management, hard to get into different department of company

    Great pay.
    Great team environment, depending on your sales location.
    Good Benefits.

    Cons

    Quota system is becoming less and less lucrative.
    High, and sometimes unreasonable, expectations from management.
    Trust between reps and management only lasts as long as your last success or failure.
    Inconsistent consideration for family obligations.
    Flex scheduling non-existent.

    Advice to Management

    Create a more family-centered culture for retail sales reps. The compensation is fantastic. But, hard to stay motivated when spending so little time with your family.

    My advice on the Eastern Shore would be to share your knowledge and assist more in training which would allow individuals to be better prepared for management positions on the Shore.
