Pros

The best things Verizon offers its employees are a good benefits package and competitive pay structure. If you get a good store and good managers, you can have a pretty good time.

Cons

Retail hours. Constantly changing pay structure. Inundation of corporate talk and micromanagement, often coming directly from the top. Some places offer next to no career advancement.

Advice to Management

Micromanagement abounds.

    Pros

High compensation relative to competitors, job security

    Cons

Company saves money through cutting commissions, employee phone program is poor

    Advice to Management

Stop asking employees to sacrifice due to financial constraints. It is obvious VZW is not in trouble when we tout our record breaking performance

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Verizon is an ideal place to work for especially in the corporate building where technology is managed and maintain with one core vision that every one follows and that is to help change the way mobile communication is used yet enhanced for our every day lives.

    Cons

Verizon is competitive but their competition is not to be overwhelmed by the user preferences.

    Advice to Management

The Management Team that I have come to experience were very aggressive in meeting deadlines. Management don't seem to understand that certain works takes longer time to finish. My advice would be to approach every work with an open mind and consider that even the pros need help when trying to pursue a common goal.
