Pros

benefits day 1 great starting pay. 401k, medical, dental, life, tuition, great cafeteria, gym, basket ball goals, ice cream floats, sandals and shorts day,

long training 19 weeks.... overtime expected every week. Schedule rotates and you have no idea what you will get. Management team and corporate leadership are not always on the same page.

Advice to Management

customer is not always right.

I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Discount on service, health benefits and good devices. Vacation time that you can't use.

    Cons

Ever changing commission structure, customers centric to a fault, immature under qualified managers, no work life balance, meetings are used to punish you for not performing. Dead end job with coked out former car salesmen sharking. A company that prides itself on integrity while having none at all. Trust no one.

    Advice to Management

Drug test all the managers especially at the flagship stores. How greedy can you be?

I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

great benefits, makes it really hard to leave.
Make sure you request all your vacations, even those before you get hired. If you get transferred talk to the District Manager to make sure those important days are solid. Even if you're not thinking of a vacation, schedule one up months in advance. Make friends with the senior staff, specially the support staff. They will trade with you important family days (easter, mother/father's day, christmas) for the singles (st pats, cinco de mayo, new years eve).

    Cons

    Gossip, lack of professionalism, favoritism
Its definitely who you know, who doesn't see you as threat, who's friends with who

    Advice to Management

Need to bring the focus back to the employees, moral is dismal. Management at the store level needs to be re-energized and bring faith back. Employees are leaving without a backup plan that's how dissatisfied they have become
