Pros

Good pay, good company, great benefits, room for advancement (prior to the economy challenges of today)

Cons

retail hours (horrible & changing), management style is poor & problems are never addressed head on, selling with integrity is supposed to be the core of who VZW is but the demands that are pressured on the sales reps makes it almost impossible to sell with integrity & meet company objectives & goals. so in order to sell with integrity, you will not most likely hit your numbers to get paid. frustrating!!!

Advice to Management

walk a mile in the reps shoes- for one month to see how ridiculous the demands that management put on employees. If we did everything asked of us, a sales transaction would take 45 minutes each. No possible way to handle the traffic in store and not angry managers/coworkers/customers.

    Pros

great pay and benifeits. Hard to feel dissatified when you can make over 50k a year selling cell phones.

    Cons

    sell your soul for work.

    Advice to Management

pay closer attention to who your hiring as managers. They should find teh top performers through high level interviews. Use those people to groom new managers and test them on skills. then finally put them in a manger position. Most of the management are not able to train and hone sales skills. They are on calls and in meetings all day instead.
