Pros

You can disappear in a network of offices, work lazy hours and have little responsibility.

Cons

Fake benefits, no job security, salaries that are FAR BELOW industry standards, Times Square foot traffic, little vertical career movement.

Advice to Management

Invest in your employees and we'll invest in you. Hey Philippe - take 10mill off your 90mill annual salary and treat your employees like human beings. Benefits are not a state of mind.

I have been working at Viacom Media Networks full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, some great projects, lots of flexitime and cool events and some great experiences, pro-social initiatives. If you're starting out this is a great place to start your career. Having MTV on your resume does still open doors.

    Cons

Budgets are tight but this does not apply to some Execs spending - who seem to spend their budgets like personal cash, whilst others are fighting for a few dollars. People in positions of seniority with a lack of management ability. A lack of visibility.

    Advice to Management

Need to identify the real talent, as opposed to listening to those who take credit for other people's work and blow a lot of hot air. The company does not have the cache it once had, and this needs to be addressed before the market diminished further.

I worked at Viacom Media Networks as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Work environment is fun and, while high pressure, very laid back.

    Cons

As an intern was not given many opportunities to gain a lot of hands on experience. Did a lot of office work.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget that the interns are there to learn.
