Worst 4 months of my life - Research Intern Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation Employee Review
- 1.0Nov 29, 2021Research InternFormer Intern, less than 1 year
Pros
I learned to handle a toxic work environment
Cons
Incredibly sexist and conservative management. Working there as a woman was awful. They are not a bi-partisan human rights advocacy NGO. They are a right-wing propaganda mouthpiece.

Pros
-work schedule was flexible within reason -work was relatively meaningful -pay was good -people were ethical and operations were transparent -people put a lot of soul into the work
Cons
-no mobility -despite being meaningful, the work wasn't impactful -at that time, something internal at the top levels was happening and there was no transparency about what that was (despite it affecting the rest of us) -top management didn't seem responsible
