I worked at Virgin America full-time (More than a year)

Pros

it's a way to earn a quick paycheck

Cons

They don't pay much for all the work you have to do, I wouldn't wish this job on my worst enemy

Advice to Management

Stay away at all costs

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Virgin America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Energetic and exciting atmosphere for a young person especially. "Hip" culture. Massive room to grow.

    Cons

Spotty training department. Longer hours than established airlines, lower pay, and lack of good work rules or contract. Pilots only paid when aircraft is moving 5 mph or greater, unlike others. (no pay during pushback, or parked off the gate) Trip patterns do not take circadian rhythms into account at all. It is not unusual for a trip to end in the morning and be scheduled for a "redeye" the same night after a 12 hour "rest" at home base in mid-day. Frequent firings.

    Advice to Management

You are developing an adversarial atmosphere; you are clearly not "open door" like Southwest.

    Pros

    room for growth
    passionate employees

    Cons

    job stability unknown
low wages along with pricey Bay Area living expenses

    Advice to Management

listen to your workforce and foster great promotion from within.
don't be afraid to try bigger riskier ideas.
