Pros

Free TV package including phone calls etc. Especially good if you are testing a new TV+phone+broadband package. The senior management have now put in place a scheme whereby we evaluate and assess each others strengths and weaknessess with regard to how we interact with each department in the company. This company being a sprawling Octopus in terms of regional and office location, this has not stopped our HOD organising events that would have been undreamed of two years ago. The message from the CEO has been outlined in a 5 point plan which everyone from the top down has begun to embrace and to some extent practice. Frankly, this was viewed as a soundbite at first but now is being adopted within our department and I assume others.

Cons

Kept in the dark by people holding onto their jobs. This form of empire building is rife and is practically endemic. I suppose weak managers wish to shore themselves up with capable employees whilst retaining a vice-like grip on information which is poorly or not really disseminated at all.

Advice to Management

Nothing really. We are now headed in the right direction.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Local,,,used to be good cable company that looked after staff. I know the network.

    Cons

    Poor pay and terrible management

    Advice to Management

Look at the skill levels of all managers in there roles. During redundancies and restructures managers have moved around. We have ended up with managers with no skill levels in there current role. They either dont make decisions or if they do they cant see the impact of there decisions.
