I have been working at Visa Inc. full-time

Pros

Good Benefits
Nice Campus
Good food nearby and on campus
Opportunities for growth and advancement in new product organizations
A stable financially secure company

Cons

More red tape than commercial tech companies
Somewhat of a start-up feel in teams built from acquisitions
The contractors, which Visa uses heavily in some teams, have mixed technical backgrounds.

Advice to Management

There shouldn't be a process for getting a replacement power adapter.

I worked at Visa Inc. as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

    I cannot think of any

    Cons

I worked at Visa as a contractor in Highlands Ranch Colorado. I was assigned to one single permanent employee who was so mean and awful to me. I became physically ill. I needed to ask questions but she was very nasty to me every time I needed to ask her something. I sat away from her area so none of the permanent people could hear or see her behavior towards me. I would never go back. I have never worked with such a nasty person ever. I was treated like a non human being

I worked at Visa Inc. as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The HQ is very nice. The recruiters were very approachable and helpful with the interview process. Overall, the facilities are what you would expect of a Fortune 500 company--top notch. The campus is clean, serves great food, and is within walking distance of 20+ restaurants.

    Cons

None. The experience was great. The internship program at Visa was very well run, including chances to meet with senior level management and execs.
