I worked at Vivint full-time (More than a year)

Pros

"Free" lunch, decent pay considering the entry-level nature of the job, constant feedback to improve your skills

Cons

Management is out of touch, supervisors range from incompetent to apathetic, customer satisfaction is low and they take it out on you, having to clean up problems created by other departments

Advice to Management

Don't give your veteran employees a pay cut and call it a raise, then wonder why turnover is so obscenely high.

I have been working at Vivint full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Guaranteed 35hrs minumim. Opportunities to upsell products, sell systems, and make commission on top of regular pay. Company provided vehicle and phone.

    Cons

overtime is being micromanaged. Many times you are sent out beyond your service area, which throws your day off, making you late, and customers mad. Scheduling is a problem. Everyone is constantly running out of parts. Always trying to meet up with a guy so you can get parts for a job.

    Advice to Management

Never mistreat a loyal person to the point where they don't care anymore. You have some excellent people here, and they are being mistreated. They know what's best for the customer and the company, let them do what they do best. These guys are some of the best service people in the world, they may get a little OT, but they're WORTH it. Hourly needs to go up.

I have been working at Vivint full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Love the culture and passion to take care of customers and protect families. Sales can have high expectations, but the rewards are great and management seams to be in the fight with us. Free lunch, doctor, and gym.

    Cons

Large companies become bureaucratic. Vivint is trying not to, but unfortunately must continue to change as it grows. Should have better benefits.
