      Pros

Highly enjoyed working there. The company does lots of things really well. They tend to hire more senior people and tend to focus on automation rather than technical debt. Great atmosphere, no bureaucracy, straight to the point and very very smart people. I have learned a lot while working there.

      Cons

You need to be driven, take initiative and be a team player. Fast growth means the ability to adapt is important.

          Pros

Where to start...the culture at VoiceBase is unbeatable. As a young person in the corporate world, a lot of people try to micromanage you, talk down to you, or walk on you. I have always been treated with respect from everyone I work with at VB. Though my supervisor expects nothing short of excellent performance, as long as I am getting my job done, I have always been trusted and given lots of autonomy to do so. While the bar here is high, exceptional work is always recognized and rewarded. Everyone is part of the team and shares in experiencing the exciting milestones we continue to hit. No matter your rung on the seniority ladder, everyone is treated with appreciation for the unique skills they bring to the table. The company is still a small startup (around 50 people worldwide), so there is so much opportunity to make an impact and huge room for growth if you seek to become a leader or manager. As a tech recruiter who has witnessed the culture and projects at countless companies, I can say the software engineering team here is extremely talented. What they are producing is novel, innovative, creative, and the process is challenging. This is the most sophisticated engineering team I have ever worked with. VoiceBase is going places and this is the time to get in!

          Cons

Sometimes, the snack drawer runs out of snacks for a couple days.

        Project Manager

For interviewers/recruiters based in UK, do you consider candidates from the EU? or only in very rare scenarios i.e. the skillset is very specific and almost nobody who applied fits the profile

        Senior Software Developer

Just had an remote interview for a job in a company that has no reviews or news online and seems to be a part of a subsidiary of a company with one star review. On the remote interview, there was the hiring manager and a tech lead but none of them had the video camera on, only me (which made me feel quite uncomfortable). What do you think about it? Are those red flags? I don’t have a good feeling about it.
