I worked at WESCO International full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Awesome benefits and great initial pay. Lots of online training. Wesco is large company that it was the local branch I was at that was the problem. I will give them 4 stars for that but the branch here needs some serious restructuring.

Cons

Poor communication of program between corporate and branch level. I was cleaning supply closets, filing and tracking orders. It was supposed to be about learning product, meeting customers, shadowing employees, learning LEAN, financial statements but I was treated as relief staff for a poorly ran branch.

Advice to Management

The branch manager needs to be replaced before the damage done here is irreversible and you lose the quality staff you have to competitors.

I have been working at WESCO International full-time

    Pros

Strong Financial Company, Aquisition Hungry & Impressive Sales Numbers.

    Cons

Can't stay focused on objectives and strategies... Hiring new people that have no experience in the business and placing them at management and key levels, creates lots of challenges from day to day.

    Advice to Management

Need stability and time for branches to be successful.... ask employees questions and listen to their ideas.

    Pros

solid industry and made lots of contacts

    Cons

lack of adjusting to their local markets, no training, inept management,

    Advice to Management

Learn from your regional competition. You cant expect to win business shipping everything from PA on an overnight. You have to spend money and have the product on the shelf in this industry.
