I worked at Wachovia full-time

Pros

Not a whole lot, used to be good until it was taken over by Wells Fargo. Now the hours are too long and and pay is less.

Cons

Too much boy's club. Management didn't really care about employee wells being and insensitive to changes.

I worked at Wachovia full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Wachovia was a big bank with a small bank feel. Great work environment, very good compensation and excellent systems. Good growth opportunities. Management was conservative but that is what made the bank stronger, and reduced volatility in employment. Steady place to work in.

    Cons

Branch offices felt left out of the loop and excluded from goings on in Charlotte. Management in Charlotte was not able to comprehend work environments and cost structure in areas like new York.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

They offer great benefits and a lot of time off. They make sure you have the proper training necessary to your job, and they provide constructive feedback.

    Cons

They seem to be more concerned with meeting their goals than doing what is best for the customer. Managers talk about giving you coaching and helping you meet your goal if you are struggling, but they rarely do.

    Advice to Management

Actually do what it is that you say you are going to do to help employees. Recognize when we do well and stay involved with the tellers.
