Pros

Great company, great track record, great resume building experiences, great exposure to various software, good pay, solid principles and core values, proud history, well-known in the industry, allow and encourage movement within the company.

Cons

Lack of translatable vision, lack of direct management skills, inability to facilitate team dynamics and change, more focus on tenure than demonstrated ability, more focused on projects than on people.

Advice to Management

Take your people responsible. Don't focus on tenure when deciding involvement of team members. Don't try to make people "fit" into situations they are not well suited for at the cost of the team. Don't play favourites. Be accountable to your employees.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

They have flexible hours. They actually pay you when they say they will. You can make friends there who you can network with.

    Cons

This company is all about who knows whom. The only way to get a promotion is not by doing what you are supposed to but sucking up to the manager, kissing all higher people's asses and knowing someone within the company.

    Advice to Management

Don't base promotions on who you know. It should be based on performance. You should know this as a leader and noone I worked with knew that!
