Positive Outlook
No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Walgreens part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Nice customers;
Co-workers are quiet;
I love cosmetics and it's fun helping women find makeup and giving them advice on shades, etc.

Cons

Sometimes we get unruly customers, but that's okay. I'm a patient person and I understand if theres a problem. We've all been in that situation before.

Advice to Management

Favoritism; Some DM's can be rude but it's all part of the job. Some people are like that, some are not.

    I worked at Walgreens full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Regular nice customers
    Some friendly co-workers
    Easy

    Cons

    Horrible pay
    Terrible hours
    Worst scheduling
    No care for customers
    Scammer Card
    Bad Management
    No communication
    You will work hard but don't expect to be acknowledged for it. The pharmacy is not bad but they are always having the hours cut back there. Nothing is important if you're not in a clique and that's important information you need to know. Teamwork is very rare or hardly ever heard of.

    Advice to Management

    There is not enough room to put all of the advice I can give. The only thing I really want management to know is employees are humans not robots.

    I worked at Walgreens full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    The ability to help sick patients is very rewarding. As with any job, no matter how good or bad it is, you can get out of it what you put in.

    Cons

    Over-worked. Managment expected to work 60+ hours a week and are not given enough resources (employees) to meet their goals, let alone service their patients. Senior leadership is full of people who gossip, back-stab, and promote nepostism. Pay is not competitive and benefits lack. Sending jobs overseas instead of investing in US based employees.

    Advice to Management

    Start by hiring competent senior leadership. Get rid of the favoritism at that level. Take care of your employees and they will take care of the customers/pateinets. Build a culture that rewards your employees for working hard and going above and beyond.
