    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Walgreens full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Lots of valuable experience gained. Especially supervisory experience and managing. Some of the highest paid assistants in retail pharmacy industry (this is changing though).

    Cons

Hours. Bonuses (corporate keeps modifying the ways in which bonuses are earned). No tuition reimbursement...except for pharmacists. Reduction in budget hours MONTHLY (ridiculous!)...as a result management is overworked severely. Employee morale and turnover since the "changes" that have taken place over the last 4 years. Opportunities for advancement are slim to none.

    Advice to Management

Become leaders in this industry...stop following. And if you must benchmark from other retailers do so from companies such as Target and Publix.
