I have been working at Walgreens as a contractor (More than a year)

Pros

Management has a solid core of great minds on ux team. Fun work and environment

Cons

Agile process has many holes, off-site developer team has poor capabilities, always building on existing platforms rather than creating their own

I have been working at Walgreens part-time

    Pros

    Steady pay, good experience.
Full time is 32 hours, not 40, and I hear from coworkers that the benefits aren't bad.

    Cons

Very difficult to get ahead. It's possible that it's just my store, but it's nearly impossible to get more hours, much less get full time.

I have been working at Walgreens full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The people I work with are nice, I usually get the days off that I request

    Cons

hours are getting cut like crazy, pay is bad, never enough people working so you do the job of three people while getting paid as if you are half a person. It's hard to enjoy your life outside of work when you can barely afford to buy food let alone have fun. Getting paid under $10 an hour for over 10 years of being with the company is ridiculous but there isn't much for jobs in the area.

    Advice to Management

work in a store for a day, you'll up the budget for hours we get because it is impossible to have a store run well and be well stocked with the lack of employees we have. And try to live off of $600 every other week. I dare you.
