I have been working at Walgreens full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Very difficult to give any positive comments here.

Cons

Low wages bring in low quality workers. Profit sharing sucks. Everyone is hired as a part time do to extreme cutback on hours, so being part time makes it hard to complain about hours. Management holds you account for projects that they themselves might not even finish. It is also very difficult to move up at times, unless your in the good with another manager.

Advice to Management

No advice, they know what they are doing. In the near future, ther will be 1 CL for every 3 store, which is why it is rumored that store manager position is on its way out. ASM's will be running the stores.

I worked at Walgreens part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good first job, nothing too crazy but you get a lot of customer service experience. There are also plenty of hours to go around. You can do a lot of different things to keep yourself busy at work. If you need a job or something to put food on the table there could be worse gigs. It gave me good work experience at a young age and the hours were pretty flexible.

    Cons

It doesn't pay much and it's not exactly a career builder.

    Advice to Management

The management team there worked pretty well together. Most of the time everything got done on time.

I worked at Walgreens as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The co-workers who are always willing to help guide you.
The work environment downtown that is very easy going and communicative

    Cons

    The lack of consistent oversight.
    The hiring freeze.

    Advice to Management

Please consider developing a career path for the interns you have invested so much time and effort in.
