Pros

Walgreens has the best computer system I've ever used. You can quickly and accurately review & verfiy prescriptions with confidence. Most techs are very knowledgable & free the pharmacist up to review Rxs and counsel without having to call insurance or wait on the front counter.

Cons

Tech hours continue to get cut, leaving the Rph to call insurance, answer phones, etc.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Good for entry level management position straight out of college. Just do not stay too long. Pay is lower than industry standard and recent "enhancements" of medical insurances significantly lowered the value of those benefits. Will usually work with your schedule needs, but that depends heavily on particular store manager.

    Cons

Growth has slowed and there is a lot of legacy people in the pipeline to take up all upcoming opportunities, so don't waste your time if you want to move up quickly, unless you're a pharmacist, than you're set.

    Advice to Management

Please improve internal communication. Store managers do not pass on information to employees even when it is made available. Lower store management is very confused about recent reorganization. You will lose your good people quick, if you do not change quickly internal culture. You are about to lose me, after 7 years of dedicated work.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Pay levels are above most other retailers, stores are everywhere and you can request transfers to other districts, secure job

    Cons

Management style at the store and district level is very poor. Most district managers are rude and show no concern for employees or their careers

    Advice to Management

Review and revamp leadership in louisville, ky districts. Storemanagers and especially assistant managers are treated as non human slaves of the company
