Cons

Dumb cusotomers, poor hours, poor wages.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

After only 90 days you will receive your discount card good for 10% off non food and produce. After a year of working at Wal-Mart, you will get a $0.40 raise and get offered insurance, and you can buy stock etc.

Not to mention, there is LifeMart. This online discount program thing, where you can save money on EVERYTHING. Including, but not limited to, movie tickets, concert tickets, tickets to theme parks, new cars, used cars, cruises, hotels, vacations, etc.

    Cons

Apparently it is really hard to get a promotion. Like you will get a raise on your yearly mark every year. But it's hard to get bumped up to a manager position. Also, it is hard just to move to a new position in the store. You have to pull teeth to get anyone to do anything.
Also, the customers expect you to grovel at their feet and lick their toes. Honestly. "How are you today".... half the time they ignore you.. That's fine. "Have a great day!"

I worked at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

10% discount card after 90 days, sick leave, maternity and paternity leave, medical leave, 401k, etc

    Cons

Dress code, have to cover visable tattoos and remove all piercings, must have a natural hair color, benefits do not become active until after first year of employment, if 3 absences in the first year even if called in = termination. Pay is based on job title not experience. Raise is 25¢ after one year

    Advice to Management

Give time to employees to modify their work schedule availability and take required tests etc to change their employment positions whether to switch to other area within store or move into management. Base pay on experience not job title
