I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

You can learn a lot of different things in Walmart.

Cons

Management needs help. No communication, power trip struggles, and to much nepotism/favorites.

Advice to Management

This is a business, not a childrens' playground. Start working as a team and treat everyone fairly and equally. Better communication. No more power struggles. Keep business and family/friends separate. Less management meetings and more time working with your employees.

I worked at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Better than minimum wage pay for truck unloaders. $7.80 starting wage.

    Cons

Gruesome work load. Very hot. Your feet/back will always hurt.
Constantly giving the truck unloading team more tasks to do, because other departments don't want to do them.
Unethical/Illicit activities discussed at length by almost all employees.
Unrealistic time limits put on truck unloading team.
Overall very negative work environment. Younger employees are how you would expect them to be, very immature. Older employees have very negative attitudes towards younger employees and life in general.

    Advice to Management

Create a more positive work environment. Run air conditioning in the back room so your employees don't faint from heat stroke. Pay closer attention to unethical/illicit activities done by associates.
