I have been working at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Very friendly co-workers and management.
Excellent computerized training in the way WalMart runs, which tries to prepare you for any eventuality.
They do put on a heck of Thanksgiving spread.

Cons

The "season" does not include Christmas or New Year's -- just Thanksgiving and Black Friday. I guess if they they told you how short the season is, they would get fewer applicants.

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The pay is very well. Great benefits. Can transfer between departments. Great place to work and good people for the most part.

    Cons

Too many rules. Even though you have sick time you still get in trouble for calling in sick. Inconsistencies between managers. Most jobs are production based and you get paid the same even if you exceed production goals.

    Advice to Management

    Managers need more training.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Not likely to go out of business anytime soon. No lack of work due to continually working harder not smarter.

    Cons

Too many chiefs not enough Indians: each manager has their own agenda , little concern for your day to day "routines" the only thing "routine" is there is no routine.

    Advice to Management

    lead by example
