I worked at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I love most of the staff. They was helpful and help me when I needed help.

    Cons

I hated the hours. They said when I first started we are hiring for evening but that was a lie they had me working in the morning. like at 6am or sometimes I leave at 12am(midnight). They said that they don't have set schedules but a week later they do. I got paid 7.80/hr. it takes at LEAST 2 yrs before you are for a vacation leave time. You have to works years I mean years before you can be full-time. Other than all this I liked the store I worked at and don't regret any time I put into working there with the customers and employees..Loved the experience

    Advice to Management

I think the restroom needs to stay clean as possible. Like they you can tell about how a person is or rather to eat at that place by the restroom and kitchen. i think that when a CSM says not to give them that price match for what ever reason then it should be that way and no Okay go ahead and do it that makes the customer think the cashier is wrong

I worked at Walmart part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The benefits, if you can get them. They offer decent health plans, but the prices are outrageous. You can opt to buy Walmart stock, and they will match up to a certain percentage.

    Cons

They rarely hire anyone for full-time positions. The hours are never consistent. Employee morale is low, and hours are always being cut. Employees are expected to do their jobs AND the jobs of anyone else that is missing because hours have been cut.

    Advice to Management

If you hire people full-time, they are more likely to be loyal. If you staff departments properly and help your employees out instead of hiding in your office, it boosts morale.
