I have been working at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None really. for the store itself - although, there is a really good bob evans within walking distance to eat at.

Fellow Employees are pretty cool. I guess its because you are all in it together.

They hire with no work experience. However, there turnover rate is also high.

    Cons

No real training. They just threw you into the fire and watch you squirm.

The higher up the chain they are, the more management thinks they are better than you. Tells you that you were over at "X doing Y" when you weren't.

Under-staffing people to make the people working do 3x the work.

    I worked at Walmart part-time

    Pros

10% discount including prepaid phone cards and prescriptions

    Cons

Strongly discouraged from taking your 15 minute breaks
Non-existant training for the position, you're just supposed to figure it out as you go
Not enough full time employees so forced 12 hour shifts are frequent
Each pharmacist has different preferences for how they want the pharmacy assistant to do the job
    Not a very professional environment

    Advice to Management

Managers need to have a training manual, standard way of doing the job
