I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

Pros

- Full-Time Employment.
- Fast Pace
- Friendly Staff (Associates and some Management)

Cons

- Long Hours at Low Hourly Wage
- If you attend College and Work here, in my department, you will be extremely tired.

Advice to Management

The greatest weakness I found, while working for Walmart, is that the management team, at my location doesn't ask how they can help the associates better improve productivity. I think that management should do this.

I worked at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Entry level way to get to a better job. Tasks challenging, always opportunity to make someone feel better. Easy to transfer/move up internally.

    Cons

Rude customers, extremely low pay, very poor benefits. People go to a doctor and don't complain if he's running late, but expect their pharmacy to be super fast.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You will eventually find one human Manager who actually gets it.

    Cons

Equipment always broken or on the verge of being broke. When it is broken it takes weeks to fix.
Company is so large one stores policies differ from another in the same town, causing confusion and frustration to customers.

    Advice to Management

Make policy stick and keep with it. Treat your employees like people, not a tool to be used then thrown aside. Learn that it is ok to sometimes tell a customer NO. Home office back up our decisions down here in the trenches, we are the ones dealing with the customers, some of them just want to rip you off and get something for free.
