I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Can be flexible with your schedule. Also, great oppertunity to move up in the company

Cons

POLITICS. Probably is the worst part in the company

    Pros

The people I work are great, most managers are good. Job is not overly hard and it is consistant. Beneifits are decent. Flexible scheduling.

    Cons

Lower paying. "To many chiefs not enough indians". Means there is to many managers and not enough workers. Hours are to consistant. They keep cutting them. Always trying to please customer even if the customer is wrong.

    Advice to Management

Communicate better. Quit thinking that someone sitting in a cubical a thousand miles away knows what is best for each store. Just cause it looks good on paper does not mean it works at the store level.

I worked at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay was okay, you can pretty much work as many hours as you want.

    Cons

Employees are not trained very well. In my case I was held accountable to customers for the actions of other employees (specifically, employees damaging customers cars or botching oil and tire jobs. For example, studs were broken off a woman's wheel and I was told to have her drive her unsafe vehicle somewhere else to get it fixed and oil caps were left off several times).

    Advice to Management

Come up with a better training device than CBLs--a monkey could click through those things!
