I have been working at Walmart full-time

    Pros

I work at a Distribution Center as an order filler. The technology for their logistical system is very efficient. Lower-level management is very accessible. Camaraderie amongst co-workers is excellent. Pay is better than at the stores. Workplace safety is constantly emphasized. There's a weekend shift that is 33 hours per week and pays more hourly.

    Cons

The health insurance package is very cheap and only covers physicals. There is a $2500 deductible for the most basic coverage of a single person with no children. The work is very difficult in an environment that is refrigerated at various degrees depending on the product. DCs for general goods has no central heat and air. It's very difficult at first to make production. Damages to products are likely to occur and has the potential of getting the employee written up. Order fillers must endure the hard labor for hours into the day. You'll get your workout. Expect to go home very tired when the shift is over. Must pass endurance test to move on in the hiring process.

    Advice to Management

Please expand the working place. Congestion with lift drivers and order fillers makes it more difficult to reach production.
