I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent benefits if you stay long enough to get them, good pay if you can get into management

    Cons

Difficult to get full time, bad management, don't get paid enough for how hard you work, nearly impossible to get more than a 40 cent raise, only get a raise once a year, management plays favorites too much, no recognition, most of the upper management is clueless

    Advice to Management

Reward those who work hard rather than those who are lazy and incompetent.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -great hours
    -morning shifts from 7-4pm
-some associates are pretty nice and fun to get along with
-bonuses after your 6 month period

    Cons

    -management
-we have "the most important" job at the store but yet we get low pay at 8.40 an hour
    -no recognition
-Some of the associates who have been their longer are unfair and think they're the bosses of you and get you to do everything they don't want to do themselves..

    Advice to Management

Recognize your associates for their effort because it is because of them that you get to keep your jobs as assistant managers/shift managers.
