I worked at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Can't think of any right now.

Cons

Idiots everywhere, long hours, customers wreck the store and steal anything not bolted down.

Advice to Management

Half of mgmt is working on their GED's so I won't waste my time with advice.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Wal-Mart is always hiring, and will always have hours to give to associates because it's so big and incorporating.

    Cons

The expectations are high, and not everyone in a given store is going to commit 100% to their job. It makes getting things done difficult at times.

    Advice to Management

Management at Wal-Mart needs to spend more time listening to their associates. They have ideas on how to fix problems in the store that are unique and sometimes better.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Health benefits IF you are full time
    10% discount on most merchandise
Friendly co-workers for the most part
Misery loves company, there are others working there also

    Cons

These days they want everyone part time to avoid giving them benefits
More and more work with less people to do it
Company now has a max on the amount you can make per hour
Company has very strict attendance policy, but only holds certain people accountable, while others get away with missing all the work they want

    Advice to Management

Grow a pair and take blame when the store is not satisfactory instead of blaming it on associates.
