I worked at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Constantly adding new projects and tasks to keep you busy
Decent pay (over minimum in my case)
Management is friendly and everyone's smiling

Cons

Additional training (CBLS) weren't always the greatest way to spend company time
Management doesn't give you advanced warning of your performance
Team-oriented projects seemed to target the wrong skill set

Advice to Management

Be more open and honest with how you feel about your employees. Try one-on-one sessions and discussing areas of improvement with employess, instead of a group basis with no targeted areas.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Not much to say here. I worked in the management line of work, and they really don't pay anything, unless you have connections. They move you to a high position , however your pay scale stays the same.

    Cons

Don't where to being.. They are the most messed managed outfit I have every worked for. They make more red tape than they need and too many Yuppies s running the show and running the company into the ground. I believe , Walmart will soon be splitting up as a company here soon or will end up with Unions in there DC areas. And that is what they get for hiring a bunch of non-English speaking labor.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the YUPPIES . And hired the ones that have the experience working within your company with experience.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits are good and fellow associates are like a family

    Cons

heavy lifting at times and shifts are not always the best

    Advice to Management

Too many changes daily with the way things are done. Like setting seasonal pads, (SPH) scans per hour- focus more on customer service with value associates and not just those that can scan fast
