I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

If you're willing to stick around you can & do make good money

Cons

Management of individual stores varies greatly. If you don't have a strong leader the whole team is weak. My particular location is understaffed and the associates not properly trained. Management is to focused on putting out fires instead of helping their associates do their jobs. Most new hires "life spans" are less than 6 months, hard to develop, teach, train co workers when they are constantly changing.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A lot of people to work with who can be cheery, friendly, and helpful at times. I've made friends here.

    Cons

From a purely professional standpoint, this company doesn't pay me enough for what they have me do. For example, I work in toys, but they've had me cover lunches and even full shifts as a cashier, photo, site to store, electronics, connections (cell phones), seasonal, and unloader associates. No other company has their associates work this many positions for one small hourly salary.

    Advice to Management

Part of the issue is coverage. One associate to cover the entirety of the toys department is madness. This doesn't only happen in my department though. It happens in photo and electronics too. If three people were in each area every day, all shifts would be covered, and it would spare your employees and customers a stressful experience.
