I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Most coworkers were nice and helpful. Management was better than other retailers I worked at. Lots of learning opportunities.

    Cons

Seemed to get left alone at times when busy, which can be stressful in certain departments. Some customers made you feel inferior because you worked at a Walmart.

    Advice to Management

Schedule enough people at the right times.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Walmart is a large and stable company. If you follow the rules and do your job for as long as you need or want it.

    Cons

Walmart is a huge company it is very easy for employees to disappear in the shadows of this giant. People can work for years without job advancement or even full time hours. Another issue is an unrealistic work load. Too few workers for too much work.

    Advice to Management

A realistic assessment must be done to determine which tasks are important and how many hours and people are needed for valuable tasks.
