I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I liked the constant hustle of Walmart. Everything changes over a span of a day and as an assistant your list of daily activities is never ending. I personally enjoy having a full plate and being busy.

    Cons

There are some excellent people working for this company, its too bad that most don't get treated with any respect. Fellow management of mine has the opinion that they are above everyone and treats their associates with the same attitude. I have seen a lot of talented people be overlooked for promotion and just general praise. It's against my philosophy to downgrade people and treat them as if they were beneath me. If you ever have a corporate problem, do not rely on the company having your back. All of the upper management works together to bring you down. (they filled my position while I was on maternity leave, and I have yet to placed in another store after three months) Don't ever challenge your upper management, even if you know what they are doing is incorrect. You aren't allowed to have your own opinions, only company fed and support opinions matter at Walmart.

    Advice to Management

Keep your nose clean by being a corporate puppet. Don't speak your mind unless asked and even then make sure you go with the Walmart flow.
