Pros

The discount is nice and there is always something to do so you can't ever complain to have nothing to do.

Cons

Even if you have assigned tasks to do, management will not think twice to make you go do something else not in your department or realm of responsibility.

Advice to Management

1) Hire enough people to cover each department. 2) If associates already have tasks to do, leave them be; it's not their fault the other department is slaking or didn't show up.

    Pros

Employee Discount. A lot of hours available. Management friendly at first. Nice co-workers. Room to move up. Can float to different locations.

    Cons

Management not understanding of work life balance. A lot of employees under paid. Uninsured employees coming to work with untreated chicken pox and scabies.

    Advice to Management

Do your job to find adequate coverage for your department.

  2. "Not very happy with the companies promotional selections, the way they choose there employees."

I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The best part is to work with the people you know and for the community, and of course to get a pay check.

    Cons

This company works on favoritism, no matter how hard you work or how much experience you have you will not get promoted, unless you crawl up someone you know what, all day long, And you don't make enough wages unless you get up to a ZSM, that you can make from one paycheck to the next.

    Advice to Management

Be fare give the promotion to the ones that deserve it, not the ones that kiss up to you all day long and don't do there work.
