I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Co-workers were the best part of the job. They were mostly friendly and upbeat. Also, they were willing work with me in providing a schedule that accomidated my school schedule. If you work hard and have a positive attitude you can move up rather quickly.

Cons

Unfriendly and sometimes hostile customers. Low pay. Poor communication on most issues. Management was inconsistent when following policies.

    Pros

Its good place to start but not for long time they pay no thing and there is too much pressure

    Cons

They will let you work every thing you will get experience but there's other places pay more with this experience

    Advice to Management

Pay more for the people so they can keep working with Walmart and stop quitting

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    1. vacation time
    2. dental, health insurance for full time employees, 401k match
    3. potential to move up fairly quickly

    Cons

there are too many cooks in the kitchen. you have multiple layers of management who don't seem to have a program to communicate between each other what needs to be done and you end up getting conflicting messages about what needs to be done. You also don't always have the equipment needed to do your job as equipment tends to be 'borrowed' and not returned. If you want a job to make some extra money it's okay, but as a career it seems to be soul draining.

    Advice to Management

Zone managers need to be trained on how to better interact with salesfloor associates. Some of them power trip when they get their job and just simply do not have their interpersonal skills to effectively manage.
