I have been working at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Flexibility (to an extent), nice co-workers, good break system (one every two hours)

Cons

Hard to come by advancement, low pay, the attendance policy

Advice to Management

When I started working, there was a policy that said if 10% called in on a snowy day then it would be excused. Living in a place with a lot of hazardous snow falls, that happened a lot. Shortly after, they changed the policy so it's up to the managers discretion. They NEED to work on the attendance policy. It is great to an extent but it needs MAJOR changes. The management makes you feel as if you're a number and not a person, unless you're a major suck up.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

if you like stress its great. There is not good job thank you any more. All about the bad no good .

    Cons

Hitting non realistic budgets. Wage constraints in acceptable. Never look at the accomplishments. Always push a little harder.

    Advice to Management

Budgets unrealistic. Wage controls the same.you have a diminishing return in longer term stores

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Flexible with Schedule (sometimes)
    Opportunity to advance

    Cons

Too much work load for Pay grade
    Always work holidays
Manager are always expecting more than what any person can give at times.
    benefits sucks
    no life

    Advice to Management

Yes, But only if you are in need of a part-time job. Wal-Mart is a billion dollar company and only start there workers off with minimum wage. If you need to pay the bills unless you are a manager or an associate that has work there for years you should consider a second job or another job because you'll need it.
