I worked at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Solid place to work, people who might not have found a job easily elsewhere had a place to go
Managers could be helpful, nice and enthusiastic

    Cons

    Terrible opportunities to advance
    organization sometimes lacking
    pay obviously minimal

    Advice to Management

Offer more opportunities and benefits to workers rather than simply putting more effort and money into an ad campaign that is obviously less than genuine

I worked at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Motivation to find a better job.

I unloaded the truck, which is less pleasant than watching golf.

    Consistent hours, however.

    Cons

Hours (4-1 am), it's difficult to sleep after leaving work. Unloading the truck isn't pleasant. Management didn't seem motivated, but neither were other employees or myself.

    Advice to Management

Be consistent. Several times when unloading the truck, a manager would come back and tell us to work faster. Other times, he would compliment how quickly the truck was unloaded. We unloaded at the same speed everyday.
