Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.
Cons
Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.

Pros
I have nothing good to say about working at Walmart. Job title and time peiod changed to ensure my privacy and protect me from retaliation
Cons
Open door policy -its not so open. It's not exclusive to a single store either. I had a problem with my direct manager, so I went over her head and used the open door policy to try to get resolution. I ended up fired at the end of my shift the same day. Then a week later they offer me my job back. They use this as a tactic to manipulate their employees because if you refuse ,it makes you ineligible for unemployment. Many people are then financially forced to return to the job until they can find a suitable replacement. This in my opinion is one of the strongest reasons why they don't want employees to form a union. Rated 1 star because I couldn't rate lower.
