I worked at Warner Music full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

If you love Music and want to be around creative people who have passion every day for what they do, this is the place to be.

Cons

Obviously the business model for music has been almost like quicksand and it is incredibly difficult in a huge company to move quickly especially with ownership changing.

Advice to Management

Reduce overhead, simplify processes, create incubator like groups that can move quickly on great ideas.

I have been working at Warner Music full-time

    Pros

Co-workers are nice...you get to work with music / artists...

    Cons

Management does not look at anything from a long-run perspective, its only about the month end results. No upward mobility. Lack of raises. Morale runs low. Depts., and databases are silo'd. Internal controls make it difficult to get the green light on projects and stay competitive in the market.

    Advice to Management

Stop running the company as if it is still being traded on Wall Street. Either be record company or become a tech company. Pick a lane. Also, reconnect with your human capital at all business unit levels. They are the one's that got you there in the first place and your largest resource.
