Pros

Besides the clientelle, the management and the people you work with is the best and the money you make as a server there is better than being a server anywhere else.

Cons

Clientelle is the only issue

Advice to Management

Not much advancement since it's just an entry level job.

I worked at Wasabi Japanese Steak and Sushi part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The work is split up fairly. You don't have to do anyone elses job.

    Cons

Not team oriented at all. Very chaotic constantly. Things aren't cleaned through out the night because there's zero time to clean. Not much communication from management to employee's. Employee's don't seem happy with their job. Tips get split with a lot of people. Got hit on by the cooks within a few minutes of my first day. I've been through that at other places but it never just went on through the night. It was really annoying more than anything else. I've worked at other restaurants that I thought could use work, but this one takes the cake.

    Advice to Management

Hire a dinning room manager. Have them make sure the servers are doing what they need to do and helping them, so you can run register and do anything else you need to do throughout the night. Clean more throughout the night. Better communication.

I worked at Wasabi Japanese Steak and Sushi part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The food and sushi is good.

    Cons

You have to tip out 50% , and your paychecks are about $1 because you have to claim 100% of your tips. The owners are not friendly to their employees at all. We have to tip out the chefs like 40% , then tip bus boys, bar, and sushie chefs. But the chefs already make about $15 or more and hour! My lowest payceck was 70 cents.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better and stop making them tip out so much, it's ridiculous and shoud ne illegal. And wasting paper with the measly paycheck.
