Pros

Pay is OK, comradery and support among peers is outstanding, it really helps one succeed and enjoy the job. Senior management are supportive and want you to do well, it is great. The company provides good business support to allow you to get your job done.

Cons

The company falls apart with middle management. While they know the engineering and construction business, most lack leadership. I've seen too many driven to short term customer pacification vs. solving problems. Client meetings are very tense, because you are always expect a skeleton to fall out of the closet. The company keeps the staff level to meet the immediate need, hiring one month, laying off the next. This causes constant reassignment degrading performance and kills moral.

Advice to Management

Get a hold of middle managers, if they can't perform, get rid of them, don't keep them around in a demoted status.

Interesting projects to work on world wide.
    Great people to work with.
    Fair opportunities for advancement.
    Competitive salary and benefits.

    Cons

Advancements at Washington TRU Solutions are not always fair, many management promotions are given based on the relationship a person has with upper management and not necessarily based on their qualifications or experience.

    Advice to Management

Washington TRU Solutions should review personnel qualifications and experience more closely and hire or promote based on qualifications; and not on the relationship of a candidate to upper management.
