Doesn't Recommend
Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Washington University in St. Louis full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Learning about the clinical trials, cancer research and interacting with physicians are great. It is extremely rewarding to work with patients and develop relationships with them.

Cons

Coordinators are expected to work weekends and extra hours to enroll new patients on clinical trials. Very little support is offered to the coordinators and the position is very frustrating.

    Pros

Amazing collaborative environment. Everyone is very respectful and they treat you as a peer from day one. From the moment you start, you have access to everything from the very beginning and no boundaries exist between different labs. Everyone wants you to be very successful and is incredibly supportive.

    Cons

In order to succeed, a high level of independence is required, people are helpful but the initiative, drive, and direction must come from you.
