Pros

To be 100% honest here, it was a ok place to work, but there was little pay with alot amount of hours worked and no growth.

Cons

There was no growth within the company, the pay is more than 20% lower than the industry average with little or no respect as a company. Entry level employees start with zero days of vacation, not to mention you have to attend school on Saturdays (unpaid) and grades are part of your employment, you fail the class, you lose your job. You have 6 days of work with only 5 days of pay at 20% less than your counter parts. My recommendation is find a different company. This company has an extremely high turnover rate.

Advice to Management

You treat your employees with little respect and under pay them for the amount of work, you wonder why you have such a high turn over rate.

I worked at Wayne J. Griffin Electric as an intern

    Pros

Everyone in the company is very nice and have no problem taking the time to help a co-worket out. I worked and Purchasing, Estimating, Scheduling, Pre-Fab, and with a Project Manager. They were all great and I learned a lot. Good and positive atmosphere.

    Cons

Long days but allows for more work to get done.

I have been working at Wayne J. Griffin Electric full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits, financially strong, pay is decent

    Cons

Absolutely NO work/life balance. The top management wrote the book on micromanaging and control. The Owners say they want your ideas of how to make things better, but it is all lip service. Everyone who works here knows the line "we are a family company" is total baloney and only spies if your last name is Griffin. The President is well known for saying "who's name is on the building" and "the building is open 24/7". Another gem is "did you get your paycheck on Friday". To try and describe the actual working conditions to someone who doesn't work here is futile. Because after all, who could believe that there is a company who totally disregards their employee morale problem for years on end, who has one of the highest turnover rates in the industry, and who just doesn't care about their employees at all. If you want to be a body in a seat, who gets abused often, then this is the place for you.

    Advice to Management

No advice would be taken, as the President and Vice President know it all, don't care about anyone other than themselves, and couldn't care less. The dollar is their God, so any advice about how to improve this slave ship would fall on deaf ears.
