I have been working at Weight Watchers part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1) The members- they're what keep many of us with the company, 2) News and knowledge of the latest weight loss science, 3) Flexibility of schedules

    Cons

    1) Leadership of territory managers, particularly in the Boston, New England area, 2) Poor communication and leadership, 3) Pay/compensation vs. expectations

    Advice to Management

There are many aspects of the company that are in the dark ages. The front line is all "latest technology" and "science and research shows..." but behind the scenes the company is very poorly run. It is so evident, based on what staff need to do, that this company was started (and remains) in someone's kitchen. It's hard enough to tackle the needs of the members without a conflicting, confusing operation undermining the work leaders and receptionists are trying to do with members. The fact that a certain number of members HAVE to be waiting in line before they invest another $5/hour in a second receptionist is ridiculous. It makes the meetings look poorly run.

"Loved the members, but WW fails to meet the service vision to employees. Felt very unappreciated."

I worked at Weight Watchers part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Working with the members to help them achieve success, knowing you were making a difference in their lives was great.

    Cons

Expected to constantly increase attendance and sell product, but the corporation gave no support to accomplish their expectations. Service Providers who work in travelers locations where we had to set up for every meeting, tear down, work without computers were expected to perform at the same rate and with the same number of service providers as people who worked in CHAMP locations.

    Advice to Management

Go into the meeting rooms and actually work a couple of meetings with the staff and under the same conditions the employees are expected to work under.
