I have been working at WellCare full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Wellcare offers great pay and great benefits. The culture is laid back, the on campus cafeteria with discounted lunches is a nice perk, the work is interesting and the opportunities for personal and professional growth are abundant.

    Cons

Work life balance is finance is pretty terrible, and has only gotten worse with the Centene acquisition. Executive leadership has been extremely vague in their communications regarding the acquisition, and morale has suffered as a result. Employees aren't motivated to work hard when their future at the company is uncertain.

    Advice to Management

Do a better job of communicating the changes that will occur when the Centene deal closes. Your employees aren't stupid and know that there is a plan in place. We'd rather hear honest bad news than to be lied to and told that no one knows what is happening.
